DNF ratio

Post by chillibutts » 07 March 12 10:02 pm

Wow, I have a stunning (per CGA) DNF ratio on 119 DNFs to 691 finds.

That is a DNF every 5.8 finds. Can anyone do better (err, I mean worse) that that???

85 DNFs to 967 finds.

That said I never logged a DNF until I had about 300 finds...

There is a graph hiding under one of the tabs which graphs Cachers by DNF ratio as well as per total DNFs.
I'm sure some-one else or C@W will add the correct page as I can't seem to locate it.

41 DNFs (including 9 on bifrost) vs 255 finds. I also have a few where I have given up without getting closer than 50m of GZ, in which case I post a note not a DNF. I must admit I haven't posted a DNF after every unsuccessful search, I always do on the first failed attempt but sometimes will skip logging a second or third failure, since there's not much new to say.

12.8% DNFs including Locationless

17.4% DNFs ex Locationless.

Hmmmm - Locationless, trigs & waymarking are looking more attractive every day.

Be proud of your DNF's, they show integrity and are all part of the journey.

I'm proud of them until the next visitor says "Easy Find, TFTC".

Would it be possible to compare the dnf's difficulty and terrain ratings versus normal found difficulty / terrain. You could see if it's the easy ones you can't find?

Just a random out there for the picking thought for the day
