Well this is getting trickier...
Inside 30km from home, I have 36 unfound GC & GCA caches (not counting moveables), of which 6 are on top of mountains, and 5 are on islands.
Time to get physical!

Haha, good luck, being a feline, I would pick the mountains over the water!

That's an impressive stat! I have 70 unfound in a 15km radius from home, half of which are puzzles! Time to train my brain?

Since posting this 5 months ago, I have found 83 caches inside 30km of home (including 4 of the ones on islands), and the number of unfound caches has GONE UP from 35 to 36!

Keeping up is a challenge? Why in my day we had to walk 10 miles uphill in both directions through the snow to get only 36 unfound caches within 30km.RebornCyclist wrote:Since posting this 5 months ago, I have found 83 caches inside 30km of home (including 4 of the ones on islands), and the number of unfound caches has GONE UP from 35 to 36!

Also, our home coordinates were a shoebox in the middle of the road.
Within 30km of home I have:
1298 unfound caches
261 are puzzles
47 have a terrain of 4 or higher.
And thats just the GC ones.

30km?!? I have 7 unfound of the 42 GC within 2km of home. The saturation rate around here is ridiculous!RebornCyclist wrote:Since posting this 5 months ago, I have found 83 caches inside 30km of home (including 4 of the ones on islands), and the number of unfound caches has GONE UP from 35 to 36!

When I left I had every Traditional in the Canberra area (excluding Namadgi) and only had a few (<50) puzzles and multis to go. That is getting silly!

Matt, I never got down to those numbers but had no trouble doing 52 in a day around town recently. And thats in a 6am-4pm day, not 24 hours. I'm sure you'd be able to pick up a heap if you dropped in for a visit.Big Matt and Shell wrote:Might be time to make a trip back there again...Bewilderbeest wrote:30km?!? Re: Well this is getting trickier...
Out of the 30 GC's within 2km of my house, i havent found...5 of them.
Two of them are 5 star puzzles. FML.
Two of them are unloved and poorly maintained
And the other one is on a hill i am too unmotivated/generally too injured to climb.

Haha...It's amazing how quickly new caches are published. I was quite shocked when I visited a couple of months ago...Thinking I would be lucky to be able to manage 50-70 finds over three days...I ended up with 140...and that was just within the urban areas of the ACT. The density there is unbelievable.Big Matt and Shell wrote:Might be time to make a trip back there again...Bewilderbeest wrote:30km?!? I have 7 unfound of the 42 GC within 2km of home. And depending on your point of view, it will only get better / worseMarcus Vitruvius wrote:Haha...It's amazing how quickly new caches are published. Re: Well this is getting trickier...
When I posted the original topic, I had 36 unfound non-moveable caches inside 30km
Since then, I've found 124 inside 30km, and I still have 31 to go - it's like playing Whack-A-Mole!
