Re: Bicycle racks for tow-ball ?
We got ours at Bike Superstore in Mitchell a couple years back, decent price, lots of selection. Ours holds 4.
Re: Bicycle racks for tow-ball ?
I have a mac rac (http://www.macrac.com.au/products/) which they don't sell any more holds 3, but depending on the frame its a bit awkward , eg BMX bikes and some MTB have thicker frames and this means its pushes the bracket out a bit.
So you might like to check your bikes and the angles the frames sit etc..
Also if your car has a boot which will be affected when you have the bikes mounted etc.. eg if you have a hatch which can't be opened when bike rack is fitted etc..
So hopefully this might help you pick a suitable bike rack.

A similar requests - anyone have any suggestions for a bike rack that holds 5 bikes? With 3 children we currently need to carry one bike in the boot and that means having to remove the bike rack from the car before we can get the bike out.

With a bit of finagling and a few bungee cords, you could probably fit a fifth on ours - at least I hope so because we are now a family of 5!Toriaz wrote:A similar requests - anyone have any suggestions for a bike rack that holds 5 bikes? I think we bought our's from Super Cheap Auto before we came to Canberra but as I've had a work ute for the last 6 years I donated it to FF so we could get out to and back from those remote Namadgi caches.
From memory it was under 50 bucks.

I've got one designed for hatchbacks and wagons. It has a hinged arrangement, which allows you to fold it down so that you can access the rear hatch door without having to remove the rack from the tow bar. Well worth the extra few bucks for the convenience.

Have settled for a Pacific two bike carrier. Roughly same price at Anaconda and Bike Superstore $165 but $148 inc postage on line from the Bicycle Store
