Looks like Earthbound Chief is set to do his best, heading for 365 CONSECUTIVE DAYS of caching tomorrow!

Has to wait until Feb 29 to complete the table ... will he continue a consecutive run?

Lets see, once you clear out your 10km zone, that's at least a 20km drive every day to find one. On good days you'd get one published locally.
Most cachers probably start with their zone pretty clear, so that's a minimum of about 20km x 2x 300 , which is at least 12,000km, and probably closer to 15,000.
With a big 4WD that gets probably about 12 l/100km around the city, maybe more, and with petrol at about $1.30 per litre, those mint tins are probably costing a P366 hunter about $2,300.

Clearly money well spent and good value.

As George Best said, he lost his fortune by spending most of it on women and alcohol and wasted the rest, but he didn't have geocaching in those days.

Yep 365 days done today. Done and dusted. The past week has been a struggle and I may be tempted to do one more tomorrow so that I can say I've done a leap year of continuos caching, but I'll leave the big numbers to others with more tenacity, patience, time and petrol.
