Blue Mountains Power Trail (BMPT) -- A Challenge

I've just completed the amazing BMPT, finally logging numbers 10 and 11 of the 60 part series. And I've awarded it a 'Four Thumbs Up' . . . Congratulations to rogerw3!

Team Canary were the first to complete it, but otherwise there have been relatively few logs of the individuals caches.

Some mention was made in the Forum of plans for an attempt to log all 60 BMPTs in one day, over the Christmas period. (You know who you are.) So now I'm sending out a friendly challenge! Who will be the first to achieve this goal?

I take note that Zal in now back in the country, and no doubt looking for more home-grown challenges . . .

And remember -- you can always look for Leap Frogs :frogette :frog along the way!

Are these the caches with View3 in their geocache name? If so they look like an interesting challenge.

Cheers!
Rob.

Hi Rob

The 'VIEW' series by rogerw3 is indeed a great one, and well worth the effort. I've logged a great many of them. But these are GCs and not the BMPT series I meant, which is published as individual GCA caches.

I see that caw has already given you the links.

Hope you'll enjoy either or both!

I'm thinking treadly for this one. Would be better to start at the top though.

Excellent!

But remember that the Blue Mountains PT is set up -- in general -- to strongly favour the east to west travelling lanes. Going the other way will tend to necessitate a bit of road-crossing.

I'm hoping those attempting the 'Everest' of logging all 60 BMPTs in one day will carefully time themselves. In the case of two or more teams achieving this feat, the highest honour will go to fastest team!

I don't know as yet if rogerw3 is offering any kind of reward . . .

Still hoping that this challenge will be accepted, perhaps after Christmas!

Those of us who live around the mountains will cheer you on . . .

Hello World!

I am back.

I have little time... I must return to the UK on the 6th Jan :(

These Caches will fall  Getting a set of wheels I hope tomorrow or the next day. May not be able to hit the trail before Xmas but definately in the Xmas--NYE Lul.

Who wants in?! Will be a super early Sydney start. The car I will get is only 2 door, so it may be squishy ;)

Yay! =D> =D>

I'll be standing alongside the GWH with a 'GCA' banner, cheering on Zal and blossom* and any others who take up the challenge! \:D/

Perhaps rogerw3 will even meet the lucky finishers at BMPT-51 in East Penrith.

I don't know if there's going to be any kind of prize . . .

But 60 smilies are not to be sneezed at . . .

Still hoping that more distant (and nearby) geocachers will try the BMPT over the Christmas holidays.

Please post your intentions here and some of us might be able to meet you along the way.

Merry Christmas!
