I agree and plenty more we didn't have time to visit so I'm sure we will be back to attempt some of the walks and caches we didn't have time to visit.blossom* wrote:That's a pretty huge number! Well done guys I think this proves how much value there is in the Blue Mountains area caches. It's not arduous to see a huge amount in a weekend's tripmtrax wrote:blue mountains raid! (82 GCA + 57 GC caches!)
We started from Penrith at about 10am and finished around midday the next day but stopped in Lithgow for some more caching for a few hours. I even left a couple of frogs on our travels. So a full on weekend thanks for all the caches

Re: Blue Mountains Power Trail (BMPT) -- A Challenge
The ONLY problem I've noticed with this great run, is that one tends to want to do it FAST, and get more caches, and so one seems to not want to stop and look at the scenery, or attempt those caches that might require a bit of a walk. Oh, well, it's a good excuse to go back another day.

finally finished logging the GCA caches, oh boy was that alot of button pushing, so for future finders, I would suggest NOT using the GCA fieldnotes unless it gets a makeover .
The best way would be to use GSAK to generate your fieldnote file or if you want to use the websites entry you have to ensure you select "Save" for log entries not yet completed.
Note I used the Add note on my GPS which help me remember some of the locations a bit easier but YMMV.
thanks again rogerw3

Re: Blue Mountains Power Trail (BMPT) -- Challenge Update
rogerw3 has alerted me to the fact that 12 geocachers have now completed the BMPT challenge!
And seven of these energetic folks are from the ACT . . . .
Hmmmm. What does this tell us?
(Good work, everyone! )

Canberra cachers like to go for long drives???
Fitzy and I had a good time, stopped at a few places to take photo's, but after looking at fog, fog and more fog (and the rain) for most of the day, there wasn't much point after that.
All part of the fun though. Thanks again roger3w.
And agree with JAC, there will be another weekend to go back and go for the walks to other caches.
