Free cryptography (and other) courses from Stanford uni

Post by setsujoku » 01 December 11 9:45 pm

Just came across an article about some free courses that Stanford uni are running soon on various topics including a cryptography one, and another on design and analysis of algorithms.

It looks like most start in January next year, and can be done online, with a couple of hours of content each week. They don't count towards any credits, but will give you a certificate at the end of it all. Doesn't cost you anything, and all you need in order to sign up is a name, and an e-mail address.

Just thought that it may be of interest to some out there, especially those who live in Z and March Hare territory! :D

Or you could use your Zytheran/March Hare training to complete this puzzle and become a real spy.

I don't think the course on cryptography will benefit many puzzle solvers, it seems to cover complex cryptography the type you would find in modern web browsers. However the course on Probabilistic Graphical Models will benefit all serious puzzle solvers if probabilistic graphical models is not already a part of there knowledge.
