What are the dimensions of these signs and do you get one per car or two (i.e. one door)?

I think it would be great to have them magnetic becasue then heaps of people could get them with the blessing of the rest of the family. But that would probably make them a lot more expensive and also harder to post.

In the past, I had 2 big signs I liked using while on holidays but dot around town. So I stuck them to a sheet of that magnetic stuff and turned them into a magnetic sign. Worked a charm and I still have them on my fridge.

So if the shop does stock them, I am just suggesting that the listing also advise how easy it is to turn them into magnetic signs and maybe even advise somewhere you can get the magnetic stuff.

The ones at Vistaprint are

286mm x 216mm (9.50 each + shipping)
439mm x 286mm (18.50 each + shipping)

Price is per magnet, so two needed to do each sides of a car. 3 if you want to do the tailgate :)

Yea, I meant the ones that people already had. i.e. They look very different in dimensions to what VistaPrint are offering now.

I'm watching this with interest :D

I'm not allowed to use the work signs on my car for caching ;)

Aha! That explains that then.

They're not going to be cheap.

20 for $435.99 = $21.80 per set.
PLUS
$19.73 (postage for 10 magnets based on 2010 pricing) = $2.00 each to get to me
PLUS
$6.35 postage (assuming the thing is not over 500g)
PLUS
$2.00 for a mailing tube
Cost to produce and deliver $32.15
PLUS
profit (say $10.00)
Final Price = $42.15
Round up and you get two magnets (you need to cut in half yourself) for $45.00

$45.00 seems a bit rich to me for a novelty item.
What do you think and can anyone use their GoogleFu to find anything cheaper?

surely if we take a print of the above photo or basically do one up based on what it looks like any sign printer worth their salt can do it for cheaper

Don't know whether sign printers do magnets that won't fly off as you hit 100km/h down the freeway.

Vistaprint created mine about a year ago.
One car magnet 29cm dia (once cutout of a rectangle) + 10 x 10cm dia versions for around $45 delivered
but that was a deal and isn't matched by Vistaprint today.

The quality is good IMHO and the rolling-eyes-into-back-of-head impact on Mrs F was well worth the investment.

Works out to around $25 shipped for two of the smaller ones (no cutting needed) from vista if you follow the adwords advert from a google search for "car magnets"

Plus Uploaded logo/photo/design * $4.49 although that's a once only price.
Interestingly the prices have dropped this evening.

I think I paid Ian and Penny $25 for my original pair. But I would be happy to pay $50 for replacements with the extra supporting GCA. Yeah, it's a novelty item, but it's still a bit of fun.

If GCA wants to go ahead, maybe do it on a pre-order basis, leave the items open for a month and see the interest.
