From what I understand, it wouldn't be a case of doing a GPS adventure Maze in Australia, but bringing it here. I don't think its something you can organise/put on yourself.Rigger64 wrote:I just thought it would be an interesting consept to have a crack @ As we have only had one Mega Event & there is a second one comming soon Why not look into the maze aspect as well.Laighside Legends wrote:According to this no and there doesn't seem to be any plans to come here

I don't know exactly what it entails either, maybe that's part of the fun of doing it?
It would be good to get it to come to Australia but I doubt they will anytime soon.

No, we haven't.Rigger64 wrote:Have we ever had an GPS Adventures Maze Exhibit/Event in Australia??

They are more of an exhibition held inside a large facility. For example , you would need in Australia , an area at Darling Harbour in Sydney or the Exhibition Centre (Jeffs Shed ) , Melbourne.
Virtually lots of stands showing off GPS technology , navigation and a bit of tourism of the world. It sounds like there is a bit of "hands on " set ups, involved , similar to areas of Questacon, in Canberra if you been inside there.
I think you would find that Canada and the USA have such huge populations combined, that it could probaly only work at those sort of locations.
The great advantage the USA has is that when people retire ,they need an activity to continue with, so Geocaching is a popular outcome. In Australia, when a percentage retire ,many take up bowls. In the USA, they dont have bowls.
So, i think the chances of coming to Australia is remote. But, fill in the form and see what happens. Maybe its a Groundspeak funded style event.

i often thought that scienceworks in Melbourne could work for the exhibit. seems to fit with the types of museums that its been in over in the states.

Lets see what comes out of it, But then again i might see what else i can find out & see what needs to be done to get it here.
Re: GPS Adventures Maze Exhibit
I did the maze a few months back and it was cool.
It would cost thousands to have it sent to Australia,

Maybe if we try to get companys like Garmin, Magellan, & maybe some torist mob on board.
It might help to get it here.

Not too sure if Garmin would be terribly interested in helping to fund a GS exhibitionRigger64 wrote:It would be great if we could get it to come to Aus.Skippy wrote:I did the maze a few months back and it was cool.
