As I write, these two well-known Sydney area geocachers are well into their 24 hour mission, having begun at 1am. CM3 is apparently already suffering somewhat from sleep deprivation.
My understanding is that they will aim to log at least 80 GC caches during the period, all on the north side of the Harbour.
Although this may not be an all-time record, it's worth of comment.
Watch this space for news of their expedition.
(I understand that Cybermew3 will be available to answer questions at Calypso62 and Geotooter's GeoExpress event on Sunday in Galston. You can also quiz him about CM66 at the same time.)

Oh to be young again and have the energy to do such things!! Good luck to them. I'm looking forward to talking to Cybermew3 at tomorrow's GeoExpress event.

No further word from them as of 11:45pm Saturday night. Hope they're OK! (Probably both asleep now.)Calypso62 wrote:Oh to be young again and have the energy to do such things!! Good luck to them. I'm looking forward to talking to Cybermew3 at tomorrow's GeoExpress event.

It appears that they did in fact log their 80 GCs in less than 24 hours . . .Calypso62 wrote:It appears they survived...just!! Well, Cybermew3 did, not sure about Holyman54 though!

Not a bad effort.
