Re: Munzees!
Alright, I've just placed Canberra's first extreme Munzee Powertrail. All are up trees and cable tied to dead branches.
Re: Munzees!
If that is referring to one of mine it is not glue but double sided 3m tapegmj3191 wrote:Of interest to me is the placement method.
So far I've seen 5 types.
1) Glued to the object.
Is a pretty permanent solution but it can be a difficult to get your phone in position if the munzee is hidden out of direct sight, or under something.
Very thin and could be confused as glue by some.

Yeah, that and lack of a DNF function are the two biggest problems for me at the moment. DNFs are being addressed in the next update "The Journal" (Online Logs, but optional Im guessing... so a Scan will probably auto generate a "Zal captured this munzee on DATE at TIME, which can then be added to / updated online later.)gmj3191 wrote:When a munzee is found, the owner doesn't get an email or any other form of notification.
You have to go and see if the find count has incremented.
This greatly reduced the gratification you get from having your munzees found.
Notifications (New Munzee, Found , DNF etc are on the devs list

Re: Munzees!
Found the first 'virtual' munzee today! pjmpjm has created a mystery version for non-Androids so we logged that one.
Looks like non-Android phones or iPhones will be going the way of Betamax, floppy disks and zip drives before long. Don't buy Nokia shares!

Yep that was a good move. I think Blackberry are the one worrying now. I think RIM's days are numbered everywhere except North America. While Apple still hold the lead ing absolute numbers, sales of Droid are far outstripping. Give it a year I think the market will be just over 1/3 Droid, just Under 1/3 iOS and then the restnorkmeister wrote:Nokia have partnered with microsoft now, so dont count them out yetYurt wrote:Found the first 'virtual' munzee today! pjmpjm has created a msytery version for non-Androids so we logged that one.

The other thing keeping Blackberry in the market is that they are the only product certified as secure for device-based, corporate email, so most Government Departments have to use it or do without. But that too in only a matter of time.Zalgariath wrote:Yep that was a good move. I think Blackberry are the one worrying now. I think RIM's days are numbered everywhere except North America. Re: Munzees!
We have quite a few now between the Melb CBD and the southern suburbs.
I've been planting then around during my travels, and there are some by covert, echo and others too.
To get started, turn your smartphone loose on this.
