I was browsing for iPhone apps and found one for Geocaching. Read about it then checked out the website. Sounded like fun, though I’ve never used the iPhone to cache.

Purchased a GPS (gecko200), wondered what the 'geocaching' thingo on it was. Went to gc.com, there was a cache 400m from home. Hooked

Bought a GPS for bushwalking but had no idea how it worked, had read about caching in an outdoor magazine so used it as a tool to learn how to use my GPS.

My inner geek told me to do it. Do you hear voices inside your head too?

Brother-in-law mentioned the word geocaching and the seed was planted. A few weeks later remembered and googled the word, happened to have a GPS lying around and well...

I read about it in CSIRO's Helix magazine the same day I borrowed a GPS for work.
First cache found just down the road. Blame SpinDoc for writing the article.

I stumbled across geodashing on the web, then later geoconfluencing, then finally geocaching.
I bought a GPS and did one of each on 16Feb2002, and was hooked.
