Mystery Gnome Found!!!!

Last week my friend who helps run the "Two Hands Project" (see ...The Two Hands CITO Cache...) was doing her thing at Shelly Beach near Manly in Sydney. While in the water, floating under a rock she found an interesting piece of garbage in the shape of a :gnome !

And not just any gnome... a gnome with a film canister stuck up the clacka! The log had washed away and there are no identifying marks on him but he definately appears to be a Gegnome! :!: Luckily I had briefly explained our odd obsession with the little guys to her and she rescued him and took this photo...

I have already checked and there are no Gnomes currently hidden anywhere near Shelly... but that's not to say he hasnt already been archived. Does anyone recognise this cache!?

Mystery Gnome Found in Ocean -- GFF Response

I think this situation calls for an immediate GFF investigation. Proper training would clearly have prevented such a tragedy.

:gnome

This is indeed a very disturbing turn of events, the GFF is greatly concerned and is investigating.
At first sight it looks like this is Corrach (GA2746) but rest assured that Corrach is safe and sound with the GFF before being reassigned to his new duties tomorrow.
Perhaps a doppelganger from the GLF (turn head and spit!) in an attempt to infiltrate the GFF?
Investigations are continuing.

It looks like there needs to be an investigation of any archived gnomes that might have gone missing near waterways leading into Sydney harbour during some heavy rain in the last few weeks.

<edit> I have just done a query to get archived and not archived gnomes, and I can't see any that have been left next to the water around Sydney. The mystery deepens :gnome

It's pretty amazing!! But having met a heap of gnomes, I suspect this lucky find was not actually a gegnome!! There doesn't seem to be any gnomes missing or archived that look like this. But not to worry, after a bit of training, we would be happy to launch this guy as a cache if your friends want :D

:gnome ](*,)

After exhaustive checking of the GFF database, this poor creature does not appear to have been part of the GeGnome race. If only he could talk and tell us his story, but it looks like he is too traumatised to speak or even remember. The GFF would be only too happy to care for this abandoned Gnome and provide him with the necessary training for him to become a useful member of Gnomekind.

Is there another game out there that requires you to stick containers in gnomes??

Maybe he is just one of the stolen generation of gnomes who ended up with a raw deal instead of an interesting trip.... You know the ones that people used to steal and take travelling BEFORE the GNOME GAME .

My only other thought came from looking at the lid of the film canister. Why is it white and chewed out? If that's from being in the water for a while then the gnome paint has lasted quite well.

But I agree, this poor gnome needs to be rescued and brought into the fold of gnomekind, and realise he isn't alone. Is he collectable from anywhere?

GFF to the Rescue -- The Bourne Gnome

Any chance your CITO friend could place this unfortunate water-logged FurphyGanger Gnome in the way of a GFF rescue operation?

We are already faced with the serious task of resuscitating the scattered remains of GeoGraduate (now being cared for in a GFF life support system).

Perhaps a Senior GFF Official could re-train and transmogrify this poor fellow.

'The Bourne Gnome' -- could be a winner . . .

I have Bruce the Gninja in custody, but suffering some severe head damage after interacting with a 3 year old on the weekend. He is probably still serviceable but needs some repair work such as a hat to cover the damage. I am considering the options for repair. It appears he has visited senior GFF personnel before, but prior to the training program for post race gnomes to attend.

Hopefully he can be repaired and rejoin the fighting force in the next week or so.

Thanks Richary!

I'd love to see a photo of him if possible. Feel free to be as creative as you want on the repair job, even just a permanent gaffer tape head bandage if you wish. Should be character-building for my Bruce!

I've just retrieved him from the gnome recovery facility (garage) where he seems to be doing OK and is fine spirits apart from having a headache. A bit of repair work and he should be back in circulation soon. After I head to Bunnings anyway to find some weatherproof filler :?

Have added a couple of pics to the listing.
