A new idea or is this simply getting ridiculous?

For all your general chit chat, caching or not.

A new idea or is this simply getting ridiculous?

Dogcaching

Ok, what about a Cat caching?
Or perhaps even parrotcaching?? (I realize this would appeal to just 1 couple, lol)

I know, I have come up with a winner - FISH LOVERS CACHING!!
Bring your beloved fish along with you, After all, fish don't really get the chance to see the great outdoors much do they?

ugh!

Geez - that is a bit bizarre... Especially given their feature 'dog-friendly' cache is one involving quadbikes and sand that they admit is too hot for dogs paws! Go figure...

There's a space for specific interest cache sites (I've felt that one that highlighted/described wheelchair accessible caches in particular would be good given that the 1-star terrain rating doesn't always mean accessible) but this is just unnecessary. How many caches AREN'T dog-friendly?? And don't the attributes take care of that?

But then when did lack of necessity ever stop a website eh?

Very intriguing indeed . . .

My own 2010 suggestion of 'Geocaching with your Hamster' was laughed at, so I gave up.

I don't know why people think hamsters are so funny.

Perhaps fish are a bit more serious . . .

Na fish aren't serious - turtle caching for who aren't in it for the numbers...

By all means take your dog caching, but signing up at a website and writing about is going a bit overboard...
Just a simple "The dog was with me" in the cache log is probably enough but then again people do create facebook pages for there dogs or cats or fish

I suppose you're right. And he doesn't usually expect to get any credit, in any case.

But you've given me a good idea for our slogan: "May the Hamster be with you!"

Is this just a discussion thread or do we get to vote on whether it is simply getting ridiculous? I know what I'd vote

Heh. I was taking my cat to the vet the other day, and noticed on the way "hey, those rocks there look perfect for a cache!"
"Hey look, there's an eclipse tin in my car!" "Hey look, the cat looks intrested in them! Just pull over already!"

..but i didnt. Caching with your pet? Yep, it's fine if you have a dog, and hey, some have made them trackables, but..that's just silly.

Apart from the section on hamsters, I vote that this discussion thread is getting too ridiculous.

I'm a fish person, but I think my sea monkeys would be much more into some caching. Might take them along this weekend..
