Hey guys Just reminding everyone that while the floods in Queensland have been extreme there is a lot of floods everywhere and it effects a small community the same as a major city these people need your help as well if not more because it isnt pushed all over the media.if you can help go find a small community or town who has had flooding and help them you will be rewarded three fold from them.
Also remember if travelling around stay out of the way till the water goes down you maybe risking more than your own life
as for caches a lot are going to be gone with the floods so be patient for their replacement or archiving
God bless all those effected by the floods you are not alone,

Re: Floods in Australia
15 cm of flood water is enough to wash away a human - yes just that tiny bit and you're gone!
60 cm is enough to wash away a car
stay safe!

Re: Floods in Australia
Just be aware that these figures should not be used to make judgement calls. Far less than 60cm of water on vehicles and less than 15cm for humans can wash people away, based on the water velocity. Let's stay away from placing numbers on an environment that is dangerous. Swiftwater has a definition based on 300mm and 5km/hr in Qld, however 0cm is safer.
Having returned from rescuing and evacuating some affected in these situations, and having distant relatives lost in this freak Event, i ask that all play it safe and not even attempt any water crossing.
