Having run similar events in South Australia ("Frenzy"), you'll have a blast!
We ran a spreadsheet with teams/caches, and had the venturers SMSing in when they found caches, allowing us to always know where they all were. This one was city based. The original frenzy was run around woodhouse.

Re: Scouts Geocaching Event
Frenzy was a hoot - last one was 2006 I think. I really should run another before I leave the state - it was a lot of fun, and didn't take all that much organisation.
I'll think on it - there's no reason Cubs couldn't be involved if their team included a leader.

Re: Scouts Geocaching Event
Planning is going along well for the event - so if you are involved in scouting get the word out to your Troops, Units, Crews, Leaders and Groups so we get a lot of people along to make this a success!

Re: Scouts Geocaching Event
If there are Scout leaders, venturer leaders and rovers out there who have people wanting to try geocaching this will be a great event to come along and try it out, if not enough for your own team dont stress we can make up teams on the day if you require a flyer or an entry form give me an email and i will get one out to you maybe you can help spread them around at mindarri's and Dvc's as well thanks Daryll
