We found a couple of hitch hikers on the weekend and gave them a lift to the ACT. Not being house trained gnomes they retired to the bush for the night.

When we came out in the morning we found them playing.

And there was an impromptu gnome gathering at the War Memorial today as well.

it's official. I'm having way too much fun with these gnomes!

It all started, when three strange gnomes made their way into my car.
Image
Even then, it was hard to rescue them. One of them was being chased by swans..
(no, seriously. arrgh!)

But then, they've been on bus rides

gone hiking, helped me study (hah!), and even had time for something to eat along the way! :)

I've got 4 Canberra gnomes having a party in the loungeroom. What is it about Canberra? They are all big ones that are going to be hard to rehide in suburbia.

Try hiding a 30cm fluro orange gnome (aka Eromsil). I've done it four times and its been a challenge everytime.

Hi Petan,
Many many thanks =D> :D for taking time out to find him. I truly thought he was doomed. I hope that the judges will not dq him just because you rescued him after having been the last one to place him where he was. :-$

It was great :D to get your email and the photo of :gnome alive and well although looking a little worse for wear :-& after his near drowing ordeal.
I will have to meet up with you some time and buy you a big cup of coffee or your favourite bevy.

Cheers

Some of the gnomes in the ACT got together tonight at an event to welcome Jab's & Code1 to Canberra. It was just an excuse to recharge the batteries before heading off to cause more mayhem.

Hi - My family is new to Geocaching - have tried to find a Gnome that was listed on the map without success -
I think someone got there before me... does the online info sheet indicate whether it has been picked up?
My 8 & 9 year old are keen to go gnome hunting tomorrow... Thanks

You need to check the latest logs.

A log that is a FIND log WITHOUT any co-ordinates indicates that the cache has been found but not yet placed somewhere.
A log that is a FIND log WITH co-ordinates indicates that the cache has been found and placed somewhere.
A log that is a MOVED log indicates that the cache has been found and placed somewhere.

Remember, someone may have picked it up 10 minutes before you got there, so it's a gamble, but that's all part of the fun.
