I see it's got on someone's wick on Groundspeak now (well a week ago). Haven't read all the responses yet.

Re: "Sent from my mobile device"
A lot of that seems to be "bug related" as a number of people have mentioned that despite them writing a log, the "SFMMD" get's pushed through.
That's a challenge with widespread tools. You cock up once and for years the problem continues as people don't always update their software.

Re: "Sent from my mobile device"
I found and logged a few caches with the iPhone app over the weekend. No issues with the program (except that 3 coverage seems quite crappy in Melbourne!) and it looks like they have fixed the issue with the log date being Seattle time as well!

Re: "Sent from my mobile device"
Arrgh!
One of the guys in my rover crew that also discovered geocaching, that faithful night, has made every single log apart from three "Sent from my mobile device".
Looks like i'm going to have to bluntly explain that..he could use his words a bit more. :S
(ok, i'm kinda proud that he's now finding stuff by himself, lol.)

Maybe we'll add:Frogglin wrote:From now on I'm logging with "I wish I had a mobile device to send this from "
"Glad we don't have a mobile device to send this from."
Re: "Sent from my mobile device"
I might write "sent from my mobile device but I wrote a log so the caching mafia don't leave a horse head in my bed."J_&_J wrote:Maybe we'll add:Frogglin wrote:From now on I'm logging with "I wish I had a mobile device to send this from "

LOG to follow
There have been some very passionate views expressed in this thread and others along the lines of educating cachers (deleting logs etc) who are not doing it "right". Seems the majority of this poll's voters don't feel it's worth getting hot and bothered about. As a cache owner how much does this get up you nose When Pepole Type Log to Follow?
Very Much 11% [ 7 ]
A Little 19% [ 12 ]
Don't Care 70% [ 44 ]
Total votes : 63

Yeah well like it has been said maybe the best thing to do is PM the cacher. Whom may very well be New to the game & inform them that some times it is nice to see more than just "Sent by my phone" or "Log to Follow"
just my 2cents worth (Less Tax & GST)
