Looks like it's in the middle of the road.
I note he's already logged the FTF!

Could it be a kid? They have logged their other cache as a find a couple of times...

Love that they already got their own FTF - this is what I should have been doing from the start, I'd be faster than everyone! Lmao!

I would always consider that cache hiders are either young or new and err on the side of caution when offering criticism or ridicule when new caches are placed. We were all young and or new once and needed either guiding hands or experience or both to get better. I have seen scathing comments placed on caches that would probably been tempered if the commentator had realised that the CO was only 12 years old and was extremely proud and excited by their cache.

I agree with Earthbound Chief... but... even a 12 year old can ensure that the hide is adequate (doesn't have to be fantastic). Also, if the hider is 12, there needs to be some sort of parental involvement. This would help to keep the game fun for all involved - no one going out for FTFs that aren't there.

I know this location well, it is private property AFAIK but is probably accessible 24x7 due to access into Kooyong Tennis club (behind gates and a fence). It is effectively on school grounds so is not necessarily a great location for finders.
I would be picking this as an inexperienced kid hide. Opportunity for community support and guidance...

Not exactly the same but a cache was just published at Parramatta by a cache who found their first and only cache a few days ago.

I guess without such enthusiasm we would not have as many caches to search for.

Strange listing. I'm all for remembering September 11 and the atrocities committed by Pinochet and the fall of Chilean democracy, but what's that got to do with Afganistan? :?:

Again, brand new cacher, 3 finds, and by the grammar and structure I would be guessing a younger player... who may perhaps be American? Seems odd, but at least they are trying to be interesting hehe Hopefully some of the local old hands can help them develop further.

I went out 2 hours after it was published, and DNFed it. The location is up the hill behind the sound barrier walls of the M4, and to get to it you need to scale a 5 foot high cyclone mesh fence that is obviously there to keep people out. I was pretty sure I could guess which tree it was likely to be under from the arrow direction.

I have heard from the people who did find it, and they have confirmed the location. They were asking me if as someone with more experience than them I thought this sort of hide was OK.

I'm in two minds whether to drop i!riblit a note on this one. Either way if it stays I will be placing it on my ignore list.
