10/10/10 A nice number

Post by Powerplay » 10 October 10 10:45 pm

A unique date and special occasion so how did we all celebrate this day well here's how I
broke it down with two finds today, yes 10 were planned but geo wife called out to work
short time to cache and geomobile mechanical problems just didn't help.

1.Found a cache in under 10 mins
2.Found a cache a little over 10 mins
3.Drove over 10klms going to cache
4.Entered the number 10 into the GPS co-ords.
5.Was at least 10C at some point today
6.Walked at least 10m
7.A lot of ten cent coins in my console
8.A paf is stored at position 10 on my mobile
9.10 mins the idiot at the servo went on about customer parking only. :P
10.100 years to go before the next 10/10/10 =D>

Hope everyone had a great days caching

We washed our weeks clothes, did the dishes, fueled up the car then watched the last half of the Bathurst 1000.

And of course 101010 in binary is 42 - the answer to Life, The Universe and Everything! :)

Mr S went to the 10/10/10 event in Adelaide hosted by Flipper and Co and Mrs S went caching in Canada. So two logs on this auspicious day in two hemispheres.

I logged a GC cache today and got some virtual 'souvenir' thingy that relates to 10/10/10. I clicked the links but I still don't really understand it. Unless someone is going to send me a pathtag or a GC then I can't say I'm all that excited...

Now that I've gone back in to look for it I can find no evidence of it. Perhaps I was dreaming.

Did you know that 10/10/10 is binary for "42"?

Douglas Adams would have been proud.

Ah yeah thanks I see it now. I also spotted the discussion on the GC forum here.

Yeah? Wow, who would have noticed that? Oh apart from Bunya upthread.

10-10-10 was a busy day in my calendar.

First it was my wife’s birthday so had to be nice to her all day :)
Second it was our 2nd anniversary so had to be even nicer to the wife :D
Third it’s also my in-laws anniversary so had to be nice to them too :^o

So with all that happening what better way to spend the day than at the 10-10-10 event in Perth.

I would like to say a massive thanks to Allied Oz for organising this fantastic event. There was a great turnout, over 100 I believe, and so much to do. I particularly enjoyed the quiz, especially the use of control pads to log our answers.

Looking forward to what you have planned for 11-11-11 =D>

let me see..
I woke up around 10:10am.
Canberra was about 10 degrees..as it's lame.
I was late for a date by 10 minutes, because i got sidetracked, and wanted one or two caches along the way.
It took me more than 10 minutes to find one of those said caches.
It took me honestly 10 seconds to find the other one.
I parked within 10 metres of that one.
I had 10 dollars in my wallet.
I had a couple of 10 cent pieces in my bag.
I recieved 10 emails from people who couldnt find any of my caches.
I went to a drive-by event cache at 10 minutes to 10pm, and met more than 10 people whom i've only heard of online before, in person!
I recieved a further 10 emails from watching that event page.
I found....5 caches. Which is a number divided by 10! (Ok, that was lame. Sorry.)

It was a good day. :)
