Done and dusted.
The official name of the game is: The Gegnome Project

I'm nearly done with the code, so get your gnomes fired up. I'm going to be getting somewhat creative with mine. One is going to a Gninja Gnome and the other a Zombie so the paint will be out when the weather gets nicer.

I think prizes for the most creatively prepared Gnomes will be on offer and taking up Zalgariath's suggestion, there might be a special pathtag minted for the prizes. I can't guarantee every entry will win a prize, but with a minimum order of 50 tags, there will be quite a few to go around so be prepared to "Gno out of your way" to grab a Gnome, paint a Gnome, move a Gnome and generally cause havoc with hundreds of Gnomes pillaging the countryside.

What about poly-gnomials? Can we set more than one.
Can we hide a micro this time as a second cache if we have already hidden a small.
(Some of the best contenders last time were better described as micro).

Too many puns in my head. I want to let them out.

I want to get painting.

In principle, the more the merrier.
This year you can hide as many as you want BUT ... they all have to be gnomes. Real genuine gnomes. If you can find a micro gnome get a log book in it, knock yourself out. No plastic boxes allowed. Just gnomes. Big gnomes, small gnomes, giant gnomes, everything is on the table this year.

Logistically, plastic gnomes may be less breakable than ceramic or terracotta gnomes.
There may be a lot of gnome carnage this year.

Anyone found a good source of plastic gnomes? Someone mentioned Woolies but there weren't any in my local supermarket.

I'm considering big, heavy concrete ones. Can't make it too easy for our finders!

I'm SOOOO tempted by this one, but hardly inconspicuous.... or durable!

You could at least store a lot inside it as a cache, even if it was just hot air

That one won't be going on any planes in MY hand luggage!

It'll be really funny when someone looks in bushes to see a decapitated gnome and a log sheet taped to the inside! #-o

I have had David Bowie's The Laughing Gnome stuck in my head all day thanks to this thread.
