Gnomes versus Zombies
A race for domination
A secret battle is being fought within the parks, gardens and nature reserves of our fair country. Every day heroes place their lives on the line to protect us and now they need our help to continue the fight.
By day they are ordinary garden gnomes reviled by some as tacky ornaments and adored by those who know their true purpose. To protect humans from the zombie menace that would devour all spare time and free space.
At night when no one is watching gnomes turn into gninja’s and gnommandos ready to do battle for the freedom of spare time to geocache.
Zombies often hide in small containers masquerading as movable geocaches it is up to you to move the gnomes to as many places as possible to rid us of this menace. Or if you are one of the dreaded gnome haters move along the zombies and claim the coordinates for them.
The future of our spare time is in your hands.

How about creating a gnome that represents your own caching identity?
Think of all those caching names being represented as gnomes!

Caching names would then be 'gnome de plumes' rather then 'nom de plumes'

December 1 is the usual (can one occurrence be defined as usual) start date through to end January.

Looking like that, but not finally decided yet, unless more people say yes to the gnome thing.

Well my Vote is for a Gnome for this race.

And my 2cents worth (Less Tax & GST) Is Wondering Gnomes. Or Travling Gnomes.

I also vote for gnomes.

It would be good this year if we were allowed to enter more than one "cache" per team. There were times last year when there were too few within striking distance, and many have now disappeared. How about a maximum of three entries per team?

I'm already thinking about the midnight gnome hunt on day 1!
