Maybe becasue it fills the criteria of "published after 1st Dec" and "Moveable"Yurt wrote:Anyone know why this movable shows up on the gnome map? It's where the map opens at present.

Yep, as soon as it's made! We've (ie Zalgariath) only just submitted it but I will trade with everyone as soon as I get them.Just a cacher wrote:Blossom: I just LOVE your tag! Is it available for trade?

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
I don't actually have a gnome entered, but I thought I'd buy one for a Kris Kringle we're having at my (ex) work.
Wow, it's hard to find a good gnome these days.
I finally bought one at Garden World in Braeside, but I think it's made out of plaster and looks a bit fragile.
Where did people get those solid concrete or fibre glass gnomes from?

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
I'm amazed at how many different styles of gnome I've seen so far. It was hard enough to find one. Bunnings had rubbish - only one fragile concrete one which was unpainted. Got ours at a nursery.
Anyone know or able to work out who has moved the most different gnomes? As opposed to move the same few many times?

I'd love to trade for both your tags Just a cacher and blossom* (and Zalgariath's now that you mention it). If you see one of mine that you like just wishlist it or PM me.
I'm thinking of starting a Gnome pathtag owners collection.
That should fit right into my Aussie pathtags collection.
Sorry for hijacking the thread but I can't resist a good tag.

I must say I like the look of the Gnome Power Trail that's currently there in Melbourne! Rachelle Road is the "Gnome and Go" route.
Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
It was fun to hide them all, but like all things in this game, it's only very temporary. They'll be gone in the next day or so when someone finds them.Yurt wrote:I must say I like the look of the Gnome Power Trail that's currently there in Melbourne! Rachelle Road is the "Gnome and Go" route.
Here's how they look on the map at the moment:
Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
I purchased mine from a thrifty link hardware store then poured plaster of paris into the cavity, adding a film canister once it started to set. Quite robust & certainly wont be flying anywhere.

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
I think I have a problem.....
Everytime I end up in $2 store, I walk out with gnomes. Strangely this wasn't a problem until December.
But I am creating a storyline to try and end my purchasing.
Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
There seems to be a lack of Gnomes in Sydney, they have gone away or some have disappeared altogether.
Isn't it rich?
Are we a pair?
Me here at last on the ground,
You in mid-air.
Send in the gnomes.
Isn't it bliss?
Don't you approve?
One who keeps tearing around,
One who can't move.
Where are the gnomes?
Send in the gnomes.
Just when I'd stopped opening doors,
Finally knowing the one that I wanted was yours,
Making my entrance again with my usual flair,
Sure of my lines,
No one is there.
Don't you love farce?
My fault I fear.
I thought that you'd want what I want.
Sorry, my dear.
But where are the gnomes?
Quick, send in the gnomes.
Don't bother, they're here.
Isn't it rich?
Isn't it queer,
Losing my timing this late
In my career?
And where are the gnomes?
There ought to be gnomes.
Well, maybe next year.

[OT] I should point out the blueprint for Blossom's tag isnt back yet... and I fear it may be too detailed to be made... I have a fall back version nearly the same, but with half the number of pink stamens... still nice, but not quite as pretty [/ot]Just a cacher wrote:Blossom: I just LOVE your tag! I feel this way about the south side of canberra's gnome population.rogerw3 wrote:

(that, or it's my own damn gnome.)
