Although you don't have to, it's heaps more fun to register in the game becasue then you will appear on the ladder and can see where you're coming compared to all the others etc.
Not if you don't have a cache in the game.
Movers don't show up on the ladder, only the caches.

I moved a gnome this morning and three of my four have been moved (I could see the other one still on the way to work this morning)...

Is it OK to just log moves or do you have to log finds as well?

Log a FIND to get the smiley (and increment your find count).
You can add the NEW co-ords for the location to your FIND log and all will be well.
== OR ==
Log a FIND to get the smiley (and increment your find count).
Log a MOVED with the new co-ordinates.

No one's found any of mine. I've tried to gnome the southside of canberra, but..clearly we're all sane and sleep/work/.etc. :D

i can see one of my gnomes from where i'm lying in bed (stupid flu. there goes my attempts of any FTF!), so i think i know what i'm spending my day doing. :gnome

What a strange concept!!

Just log it as a note I guess. Good for people to know a gnome's been nabbed so they don't look in vain.

Then log a MOVED with the new co-ords.
i.e. If you FIND it once and don't want another find for the same cache, log a MOVED to move it along. A note would be nice to say that it's no longer in the location if you MOVED log will be a day or so away.

OK, got it...I moved it straight away and logged the move with the new co-ords anyway...

If I'm going to have it for longer than 20minutes I'll post a note.

Jealous! I looked all over for a truly tiny gnome :( Have fun with yours! :D
I got one the same place as MtnLioness. eBay was our friend and only $1.95 plus postage.

Yeah..me too. Heh. :)

It's been 12 hours, and not one of my gnomes have been found yet. I'm normally not this anxious waiting for someone to find them, but..it's a race..and the one outside now has a shelter i just built for it. ](*,)

Am I the only Gnome Gnutter that was poised at the stroke of Midnight ready to swoop last night?!?!

I guessed Sydney Olympic Park would be a good hunting ground and at 0000h got an FTF on a new Virtual there... but at 0005h not ONE Gnome was published in the area!

So I jumpped in the ute and roared off to Blossom*'s Place grabbing my first Gnome at about 0020h :gnome . Over the next 4 hours I picked up 6 more Sydney FTF :gnome :gnomette :gnome :gnomette :gnome :gnomette \:D/ ...one DNF, but he was in the bush, at night, in the rain. :(

Early days. Could have something to do with the rain as well. It started here on Sunday & hasn't stopped. I dropped my Gnome off yesterday near Marulan. It was raining there, rained all the way to Goulburn, rained the whole time I was in Goulburn & rained all the way back. Creeks & rivers are up, the Moss Vale Rd on the Nowra side was partially closed due to a rock slide. Perfect gnome weather but not so good for those who would seek them out.
