We have been and got 3 :gnome :gnomette :gnome from Niddrie and they are being painted and log books inserted as we speak. Now to think of some names.

Thanks pwags for the lead.

One of the SamWalkers entries for the race.
This is a self-logging cache and once found will need almost continuous feeding until the next finder arrives.
This should ensure rapid transfers from one cacher to the next.
After the event we would be keen to recover the container.

Does your entry climb trees and put his hand down creepy-looking holes for food, too?

Climb trees - all the time...
and he IS the reason that you need to be careful when putting your hand down creepy-looking holes.

Pathtags have been ordered. Enough for everyone plus a whole load for prizes, so if you're thinking of entering make sure you do.

I just had a look at the geocachinggames website and so far we have 41 Gnomes registered, I wonder how many we will end up with in 2 weeks time?

None of mine listed yet, and I'll have at least six.

I suspect there'll be many that are not listed until the last few days of November.

Any wild guesses? 300 :gnome s? \:D/

Yep, I have 10 of the little beggars that showed up on my doorstep and demanded sanctuary. They've been drinking beer, watching cable and eating me out of all food

However, they did promise to help me out if I had an odd job or two that needed doing  hehehe, they don't have a signed contract with me - boy are they gonna be surprised!!!

OK ACT gnomish folk...:gnome :gnomette
Is there anyone with plans for a gnome picnic in the ACT? If not, I'm happy to host one - would midday on Sun 28th suit? (unfortunately Sat is out for me). I thought it would be nice to get a group photo before the gnomes are all released, so hopefully everyone can come along. That will also leave time for the gnomes to go off & hide afterwards if necessary.

DG Tas wrote:Ok now that you have all managed to shove your logs into your gnomes. I have question.....! Do I really need a log or can I just write on the base GCA000 GeGnome....blah blah?
I have something planned but it cant have a log...... [-o< :gnomette

I just figure that why do we need to sign a log, wont moving it be evidence enough?
I reckon it would be ok to have a GeGnome that didn't have a log book probably. Although you might be able to hang a book around his neck or something? Gee, why didn't I think of that idea before I started on my whole "shoving an eclipse tin into a mess of foam" exercise :(

Do the GCA guidelines say you have to log to prove you've found it? Would a "move" be sufficient proof?
