Yep the Orange Boots look cool. That's one bad ass Gnome!

(You'd be cranky too if crazy people kept on trying to drill a hole in your bottom and shove film canisters up there.... :twisted: )

Seconded, for some reason the yellow ones really steal the show. The orange ones are less shouty.

Hey why not :-)
I have no definite plans for prizes yet, but creativity (as well as photo creativity) will be rewarded.
This game is all about fun, so the more fun you can make the better your chances.

Oh, I hope so! I am in the throes of papier mache at the moment. I'm not sure it's going to make a waterproof gnome at this stage, but I'm trying. Steve doesn't approve. He hopes to buy a 'bought' gnome.

:lol:
How many Gnomes do you need to make a tribe of them, or is it a Gmob of Gnomes.
I am thinking of sending out an invading army of Gnomes, well maybe not a whole army, perhaps just a platoon!

For Melbourne players.

Found some more gnomes today this time in Docklands.

Fantastic Home & Gifts
Shop NW G01
128-130 Studio Lane Harbour Town

30cm = $3.50
19cm = $2.00

There was also another type that plays music = ~$8
No need for surgery, you could use the place where the batteries go for the logbook.

The collective noun is "Donsy", as in ... "oh look, at that large donsy of gnomes"

caughtatwork wrote:Based on the other pathtags we've ordered, the silver and the yellow are a bit tricky to separate visually, but the orange does well. So with the detail on the boots, I think orange as the yellow on the GPS will be offset by the black centre. The orange also matches the green and blue with the yellow boots a little distracting.
I reckon the orange boots and yellow gps is the absolutely perfect one =D> Don't let anyone convince you to change it!

I've found a few Gnomes in Mitre10 and the local $2 shop but not quite the perfect one yet. The Mitre10 ones are pretty good but they have solar panel and a light that goes on at night and flashes 3 different colours. I thought it just miiiight not be the best choice if i wanted my Gnome to last more than 1 day (and night) in the wild!!

I pondered the same ones blossom*, then decided $14.95 was probably too much to spend on something so tempting to muggles.

Big gnome hunt today only turned up pantsless gnomes (no one needs to see that) and a gnome so fragile I thought I'd break it while picking it up. #-o Even Savers let me down!

Ok, Canberra people: remember Floriade?
The gnome display and competition included gnomes you could buy and paint. I think they were available from local hardware shops. Not sure which ones, but I'm guessing that the shops will have a few left over....
