Wow! I never realised it was so big. Seeing in context to my home (and I live on waterfront) was sobering.

Likewise. I also had a look at back in it's original location. Incredible the area it is covering. To bring back on topic, there are quite a lot of caches in the spill area. I found a log on one of them by someone covering the oil spill. I've never been over to the delta region, but it is on my bucket list. Here's a link to a widget that can be adjusted to suit the various estimates of how many millions of gallons per day is being leaked. Not as graphical as Mix's link, but still some very scary numbers.
