Geocaching really hits the big time - Dilbert!

Post by kennythe1st » 05 June 10 10:06 pm

Catch today's Dilbert just released at http://www.dilbert.com

For those of you not engineers or project managers, Dilbert cartoons have a huge circulation in books, newspapers and on the web.

Um... I think that might be a Harry Potter reference.

I've been getting Dilbert emailed for years, but I used to be a cubicle dwelling engineer for a telco just like the guy who writes it. So it all makes way too much sense.

Whoa, I didn't realise my brain was so compartmentalised...

I read that Dilbert an hour ago and, given the context, never even thought of our use of the term "Muggles" but just read it as the Harry Potter reference it clearly was meant as!

Post deleted. Others have made the same inference as I did.

Mea culpa. You are probably so right it being a Harry Potter reference. Just checked and saw it says 'muggles', not 'muggled'. I'm not too au fait with Harry Potter but presume the term 'muggled' is a geocaching invention albeit based on Harry's 'muggles'?

That's my second back to front geocaching related experience this week. Having put out 5 Sistemas and preparing 4 more over the last few months, I actually got around to using one for its original purpose on Friday.
