WHO will host the next OZ MEGA event?
I will reiterate my previous comments - Wagga was AWESOME.
It has generated plenty of discussion and I was wondering WHO will host the next event?
Are any Geocaching communities already having discussions.
Is anybody thinking about what they could contribute even if they weren't organising the event?

I'll contribute the fact that they should be a bi-annual event, unless they are across the Tasman one year and then back here the next.

My vote is with you Dave to organise a joint venture ! the group going over the pond could dicuss the idea and report back ! what do you think ?The Rats wrote:I'll contribute the fact that they should be a bi-annual event, unless they are across the Tasman one year and then back here the next.

Mr Router, how about you and the team from Bathurst give one a go, perhaps another 24 event like the one in '07 that was a hoot! I was actually thinking about the coms bus today and thinking that it was a great idea.Mr Router wrote:My vote is with you Dave to organise a joint venture ! the group going over the pond could dicuss the idea and report back ! what do you think ?The Rats wrote:I'll contribute the fact that they should be a bi-annual event, unless they are across the Tasman one year and then back here the next.

Nooooo Matt ! that is probably why i'm so hard on the other post ! i know how hard it was to put the 24 hr together and that did not have a patch on the mega !Big Matt and Shell wrote:Mr Router, how about you and the team from Bathurst give one a go, perhaps another 24 event like the one in '07 that was a hoot! Just showed my wife the last picture there of the car. Her response "The answer's no". Doh!
I often have my tomtom & pda (running pathaway) set up together, then get the garmin gps60 out for the last little bit, but that passenger setup is hardcore. I love it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the mega event and I take my hat off to the Riverina committee, but the Illawarra isn't the place for the next Mega event.

Votes for where is on another thread.
This is about WHO?
If caching communites are formulating plans it would be good to ensure that there are no "competing" plans.

I had a great time at Bathurst in 2007 as well. I also set a record at that event that still stands today!!!Big Matt and Shell wrote:Mr Router, how about you and the team from Bathurst give one a go, perhaps another 24 event like the one in '07 that was a hoot!
