Geocachestore in Australia still in existance?
Re: Geocachestore in Australia still in existance?
Annoyingly - I have some of their Aussie-Track-a-Bear travel bug tags, and now cant get the activation codes for them as: http://geocachestore.com.au/activation-codes.html is down (as is the rest of the site).
I do recall that that it was a generic activation code for these - something like AUS or AUSSIE or similar - does anyone recall ?

Darn it - me too And just when I was getting ready to send them on an OS quest too....
Shoulda been faster I guess , but I would've hoped that there was an alternate strategy for activation looked into

I had the same issue with another store. E-mail Groundspeak with your tracking number and explain the issue and they’ll send you the activation code.

You've probably sorted this out by now. But GC.com has a process to sort out this specific issue described on the "Contact Us" page: http://www.geocaching.com/contact/default.aspx
So you shouldn't miss out with these. Doesn't help if they were never actually delivered by the store though.

I found the link to the store in my bookmarks and clicked on it to see if it's come back. Looks like the domain name has lapsed which isn't a good sign.

I followed the link provided in round circle's post, and received the code no probs.
If I recall correctly, it was a generic code, but of course, I can't find the email - doh!

No the link in roundcircle's post is Groundspeak's store isn't it? If you click the link at the top in Iamapom's post you'll get the "page not found" message. The Geocache Store was out at Richmond, NSW as I recall - web address was www.geocachestore.com.auoz lurker wrote:I followed the link provided in round circle's post, and received the code no probs.

Re: Geocachestore in Australia still in existance?
Sorry, I should have been clearer.
The code was provided by gc.com - I had all my items, I just hadn't activated the trackable. Gc.com were able to provide the code via an email sent to their contact page.
I realise it doesn't help those who never received items, but thought the info might be useful for any who had unactivated trackables.
Cheers
