Geocaching Gear
Hi All
We're still finding our way through this new adventure called geocaching. We would like to get some gear to dress up our family team and possibly other stuff for caches etc, but what we have seen so far seems to be rather expensive. Does anyone know the right place to buy geocaching merchanise/clothing in oz without paying through the nose?
Thanks

Hahah ... they've got some cool stuff there. I now know the difference between a baseball cap and trucker hat. I would love that stein.
The Rats wrote:Here's another site you can try.... Not Aussie, but worth a look http://www.cafepress.com/aulogostuff
I can't believe they're selling a geocaching g-banger Does it help with chaffing on those long walks
I think if you were having a hot and heavy Sat night and peeled down some young hotties jeans and found these...

You may do a doubletake!

I'm sure there's a joke about it marking a micro cache or some such... But I'm not going to make it! (Ooops!!)
That aside, I was wondering why there aren't some slightly more practical items available from that store. I mean, I am still very new to all this, but I thought that one of the attractions of this sport is the fact that it is a bit of a secret society to a degree (do we have a secret handshake yet?), hence the common references to 'muggles'.
So, I would think that striding through the bush with a bright yellow messenger bag, a white ("Made in the USA") tshirt emblazoned with the GC.com.au logo and wearing a plastic trucker cap again marked with the logo would be a bit contradictive.

Why not have subtle darker colored shirts (brown, green, olive, blues, etc.) and maybe hats that are slightly more suited to the weather in Australia (wide brimmed, all-round, natural fibre jobs)?
Feel free to tell me if I'm wrong.
