YouTube video - Puzzle Geocaching 101 - Part 1
OK, I promised this last year after the Puzzle solving event I ran and now it's starting to happen. YouTube videos of the 2 hour talk I gave on solving Geocaching Puzzles.
However, rather than just showing the video I've added a voice over to the PowerPoint to keep the graphics quality high.
Format will roughly be..
Part 1 is about the general concept and intro. (and is a bit dull IMHO)
Part 2 will cover Ciphers: Substitution &Transposition (gets much prettier )
Part 3 Codes Traditional codes, Graphical / Symbolic code (very many types)
Part 4 Traditional puzzle Sudoku, Kakuro, Crossword etc.
Part 5 Steganography
Part 6 When it's not obvious / thinking about puzzles / web tools
As this is for you the solver, please give feedback as to what you want covered and any improvements.
Especially stuff where I have made assumptions that are not obvious.
If other puzzle designers want to donate a puzzle to a walk through explanation let me know, using my own puzzles all the way through might be dull.
It's pretty easy, I hope, to modify what already up.
I also have a version for iPod/Touch/Phone however I need a place to host them, if people really want that format.

OK, that was great Zytheran. When's the next installment? I have a lot of puzzle caches I can't solve so I need a lot of hints and techniques. At the moment, my most successful technique is the "phone a friend" one

Just when I was ready to take music lessons to solve SamCarter and Fudge in D Minor, your video makes me realise it is more likely to be solved cryptic crossword style. Not sure which is worse, but anyway I don't think you have got to the bit I need yet so as the priors have said, "Hurry up please"!
