My 5yo's first cache

Post by solomonfamily » 05 January 10 9:27 pm

My 5yoson announced today that there is a new cache to be found - it took a while but I found it in our backyard :D

FTF King Solomon Jnr, followed closely by my Queen (STF) and then TTF later King Snr when he visited and took the attached photo.

I think it deserves a smiley =D>

We did that for my nephew's Easter Egg hunt last year. Found a 'safe' place for the stash, created a 'fake' cache page, loaded the co-ords into my GPSr as a wp then told him that a new cache has been 'published' just 100m from his house and did he want to be FTF? :D

He enjoyed the hunt, I enjoyed the challenge.

Well done to Prince Solomon on his first hide.

Thanks all, log book signed - several swaps (from other caches) exchanged :-)

Oh bugger. I hate it when everybody has an easy find and I just can't see it. Hidden too well. DNF. I shall return.

When I was in Adelaide about 3 years ago created a geocaching easter egg hunt around the local lake for the kids. About 1km walk total, went out and hid eggs in tree stumps etc, gave them each a GPS with the points loaded in and off we went. They had fun!

Get em started young, that's the idea. Great job. When is he going to hide his first cache on the outside? =D>
