2010 news years caching resolutions.

Post by Bundyrumandcoke » 01 January 10 8:32 am

So, its 2010 in some parts of the world. I asked this question a couple of years ago. What are you plans for the new year, caching wise. I know a lot of people, ourselves included, have the mega event on their radar, but is there anything else you plan to do this year?

Is Everlasting going to reach 10000 finds in 2010? The way that lady caches, I wouldnt put it past her.

Our plans are to target 1500 finds by the time we get back from our trip to Tassie and the mega event. We are on 1108 at the moment, and want to get 3 today, so we can be on 1111 finds on the 1/1/10. So that leaves us 389 to find in the roughly 3 months till our trip ends. Achievable, seeing as we got 335 in 29 days on our trip last year.

Lets hear yours.

Cheers
Bundy

I plan to hide more caches this year, I've been very slack in 2009.

to pass 1000 smileys, after almost 7 years (March 2003) in the sport to be not even at 600 is shameful   ](*,)

I'd like to keep on caching at a steady pace. Went and did a nice bike ride multi this morning for my first cache of the year.....but I'll have to wait until tonight to log the find as there's no 2010 in the log dates yet.....

I'd really like to do some more hikes / rides to regain fitness. Other than that, wipe off a certain mexican off my list, and find a nice place to put my ammo tin. Continue to enjoy caching my own way :D.

Ah the Mexican...... what a great cache! I found it just over 4 years ago...... walked straight up to it and was writing in the logbook 5mins after finding another cache down the road. Its a very clever hide

To hit 200 GC caches! We're stuck on 196!

To clean up the 10km radius from home. Beyond that is swimming against the tide. Even 10km is difficult to keep up with. There's currently 52 in that radius plus a few that are currently disabled and one that should be archived.

If we can get to Tas and NT this year we could get one in every state.

Have identified the holes in my Finds by day of the year - would like to fill those in over the next 12 months.

Well this year I plan on getting more caches in place now that I am mobile again after a foot problem which was not bad but enough to keep me at home for a few weeks since I walk everywhere!
My found count is still very low but I will get around to fix that. The aim is to keep an even number between found and hidden caches, that may be a bit of a challenge but we will see.
In the meantime a very happy caching New Year to all.

hide a 15 stage multi (or close) probably will be my last ever cache as I have about 30.

reach 200 finds on the GC site and 300 on the GCA site (altogether)

and find some good caches.

I'd like to finally get to do some of the caches that were on my hitlist when I lived in the Adelaide Hills. Especially a few of the older Zytheran caches that I have coords for. These days, the GPSr rarely comes with us on trips to the big smoke, as we just don't have time to get the better hides. Hopefully this year, that will change.

Strangely enough, this is pretty much my exact caching resolution.

I guess we should stop trying to find that mexican late at night.
