You will get a better price on-line, from Aussie companies. Do you have a Ray's Outdoors nearby ?

They are close to Salisbury, on Main North Rd opposite Parafield Airport and have provided me with great service at competitive prices.

Cartographics at Unley is the obvious pointer for me, but if Alex isn't open over the break, then I think I remember seeing anaconda having a basic Garmin Etrex out on special at the moment, and I know that JB hifi have them as well.

Australian online sellers are also very cheep, try ebay.
That's where I got mine from and saved about $300 when the 60Csx was about $1k in most shops.

I've always found GPSOz to have great prices and great customer support. In my experience, buy from a walk-in store and you'll be paying a fair percentage more for your product.
Also, if you are an RAA member, you can buy an entry level Garmin Etrex from the RAA shop at an even better price.

They beat Johnny Appleseed's (online) price for my Oregon by $50.
As for eBay, be aware of where it's coming from. Particularly if you're after an advanced unit with maps - a grey import won't come with Aussie maps.
So that's why I get so many hits on Holy Rollers! There is a few caches nearby where you can test the GPSr!!

As Jardry said transceivers at Parafield. I rang everyone in Adelaide before Christmas and they offered the best deal for what I was looking for.
