pavel02

Post by tronador » 21 December 09 5:49 pm

I just came across this posting in the NT forum. It seems we may have another dog187 or armchair cacher. He has claimed finds on 2 of my cachers and many others in the NT but i don't think he actually signed any of the log books.
Could the moderators look into this. Follow the tread in the NT forums

Just deleted pavel02 and his mate from two of my Darwin hides. Checked them this morning and no signed logs or coins like they said. The coins that they had logged into the cache are owned by them so wouldn't be hard to log them into a cache without being there.
We are off to Katherine tomorrow so will check on my others ones they have logged and if there is no log I will be deleting them as well.
It is a bit of a shame they are now the top finders for December in the NT with all the fake logs.

Thanks for letting us know. He has claimed another one of mine near Glen Helen. I will ask my cache maintainer to go check the physical log books of some of the some of the Red Centre caches.

Have just returned from a trip to Katherine, finding 15 caches and checking another 3 or 4. In the majority of caches from Pine Creek to Katherine pavel02 has actually signed the logs he has claimed. Further north the name does not appear in the logs.

I received an email from him asking why his logs had been deleted. I told him the truth about not signing the log book and also that Earthcaches required that the questions about the geology be attempted. I apologised if his finds were legitimate and explained about previous bogus cachers from other countries. He emailed back and said thanks for the explanation. I have found he has logged again but in Czech. Now a strange thing has happened. when i try to translate this using a good online translator, it comes up as no translation found. I am now concerned that these may be obsenities?? Do we have any Czech speaking cachers here???

No problem. Just visit my cache page. It's part of the new log, added this before the TFTC.

If you search the phrase it is used in a few logs in Europe. I doubt that it's offensive.

#-o Of course why didn't I think of that

"Nice ke? Each and nature. "

I get the general idea. All good, and we each learnt a new language.

And yes Agent Basil, Glen Helen Gorge and the Finke River is a very beautiful place.
