New street view feature
Just noticed today, when checking out a GZ using streetview, that the point you searched for now appears as a red bubble at the "correct" point in street view. In the case of the GZ I was looking at, it put it right on a sign post.

It does too, but couldn't see the cache though
Re: New street view feature
Once you have Google for finding roughly the object the cache is in you can use nearmap for the super resolution picture. Some of my bush caches in black ammo cans are now visible on nearmap.

What's nearmap - how do you view it? And how do you use Street view? Stuff i look at doesn't seem to be as good as you're talking about here?

Re: New street view feature
To use streetview grab the little man in the top left corner of the google map and drag him down to the street where you want to have a look. If Google have "streetviewed" the street the street will turn blue and when you drop the little man the map will turn into a picture from the street. You can then spin around, look up, look down and move along the street.blossom* wrote:What's nearmap - how do you view it? And how do you use Street view? Nearmap is here.
Hope that helps.

Agreed street view is a really good tool to use when searching for access routes to enter parks or bushland when searching for more out of the way caches.
