So TP, can you tell us what coord system it is using? As I said it seems to come out a bit from where I *believe* I am getting the signal. Drove past the other locations on the map using AGD66 and WGS84 and there weren't any towers there. Demo'ed it in town today to someone else but it wouldn't work for them on Optus.

I hadn't tried this before, but did this morning on my work Telstra mobile. All I got was an SMS with the text "False" in it. So does that mean I'm not 171-LOST, or that I gave the wrong answer in one of those phone quiz scams?<br />

However, this site purports to be able to locate a phone

Go to location X Y. Send a Telstra SMS to 1715678. Cache is hidden at the received coordinates.
Considering the received coords are for the *tower*, I think the terrain will be 5 star to deal with the razor wire, Piggys alarms, being slowly fried by microwave repeaters and the 25m fall.
Maybe only 4 1/2 star if not too far up?

(Of course if it's Optus :x I wouldn't worry about the microwave level, just dodge the carrier pigeons coming to and fro)
