A great log from a fun little Adelaide cache

Post by calumphing_four » 09 November 09 12:58 pm

Whilst doing a pocket query load into GSAK this morning I spotted this log for Boxed In which I've cut and pasted from.
Possibly Acts2YouthGroup and Alansee in the picture.
It brought a smile to my day. =D>

Cheers 8)

=======================================
butterfly from hell found Boxed In (Traditional Cache)

As it happen. Well shortened a bit.
Lucy : Cindy, there are people again down by that gap between the 2 buildings.
Cindy : Again
Lucy : Yes again I'm grapping my phone and photographing them they could be terrorists.
Cindy : Yeh terrorists in Adelaide dream on.
Lucy : One of them has gone into the gap and brought out a black box.
Lucy : He signing a book.
Lucy : Now he is putting it back. They are leaving.
Cindy : Go down and see what it is.
Lucy : Yeh that's a great idea.

7 minutes later

Cindy : I'm not going in there.
Lucy : Wait here then
Lucy : Yes its a black box, a geocache ? sticker on the front says see http://www.geocaching.com for more details and a number GC1Z492
Cindy : Put it back lets get out of here before someone see's us too.
Lucy : Ok

6.5 hours later

Lucy : So just key in GC1Z492 what's all this then.

6 minutes later (reading)

Lucy : I'm a muggle who do these people think they are.
Cindy : Signup so we can post the pics you took.
Lucy : Look at this there are hundreds of these little boxes all over Adelaide.

That's hilarious. Nice log.

More seriously, it goes to show that some information on the container (and the GC code) can help prevent caches from being muggled.

The guy on the left in the photo is lanky like Eric, but i dont think its him.
The other guy in the photo with his head down is shorter like Alan ( Alansee ) but i dont think its him. Alan dresses alot snappier than this guy.
Its more than likely the 2 guys who logged on November 4 Th.
I will email Alan to get the definative answer. :D :D :D

That comment will get back quickly to the lanky Warburton cacher.
I am picturing Eric has a real good memory and he has entered the Oz Mega Wagga Wagga.,and your next meeting could be there !

The next scene around early April 2010, i am visualising   a bearded bike rider tied up and swinging in the breeze by rope 5m up from a tree branch- bike ,tom-tom and all !!!

I just love logs like that, =D>

I just don't like those "easy find", "great cache" :(

Excellent stuff! I quite enjoyed that cache during our recent trip to Adelaide. We have our own little story to tell about a run in with a martial arts instructor at the very same cache......

Definitely not Eric and I - can't even help out with who they are.

LOVE the posting though! Thanks for highlighting it Calumphing Four.
