CAW Graphs

Post by Big Matt and Shell » 06 October 09 5:52 pm

I'd like to start by thanking CAW for his graphs hosted on his own site for the last 2-3 years that I have included on my profile. They have been fantastic.

I noticed yesterday that they no longer worked and have assumed that I need to use the new ones hosted on GCA. I have a question though as I can't seem to find any battle graphs, will these be brought in or are they too intensive for the servers?

Again thanks again CAW for the fantastic graphs!

Ah, the battlegraphs.
They're not too intensive, I just haven't worked out how to get them to work at GCA.
It's on the list, so if you can be a little patient I will get to it.

Go to your cacher graphs page and select Battlegraph.

http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/Big+Mat ... attlegraph

Stick the name of the cacher you wish to battle in the box and hit Battle!
Case sensitivity is NOT important in this box. i.e. CAUGHTATWORK is the same as caughtatwork in this situation.

You speedy little bugger you :-)

If you want to battle two cachers (one of which is not you), go to one of their cacher graphs page and do the same thing.
e.g. http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/Moneydo ... attlegraph enter ADV and hit Battle!

A stoush going on over the ditch.

My thanks also to the marvellous Caughtatwork for the graphs. I find them fascinating and use them regularly.

A small request though, IMHO the Swimming Aganinst the tide is better suited as a line graph, it makes it easier to read. Not a big deal though.

Cheers

c@W,

In my GC profile I was using: <img src="http://www.caughtatwork.net/geocaching/ ... rea=sa&xl=">
This plotted all my finds using the SA Map.

Trying to achieve the same using the GCA domain, I used: <img src="http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/Jardry/ ... s.png?r=sa">
As expected, this plotted all my SA finds.

Is it possible to use a map, in my situation, the SA Map, and then plot ALL finds that "fit" on that map?

Being a Riverlander, I have found caches in SA, Vic & NSW and would like to see them all on my profile "close up" whereas with the small (overall) number of finds, using the Australia map doesn't "highlight" as well as it could where I have predominantly made the majority of my finds.

Thanks for hosting the graphs on your site for the past few years - we all appreciate it.

Funny you should mention that, I specifically made the caches on the map only the ones for the region selected. Hmmm. Maybe I was wrong to do that. I'll have a look, make a change and see what happens.
