CachedScout (& part of Cached) will be there in Troop 0106. He will be bringing a Scouting Geocoin. Have asked him to drop it off to Partic so it can get into a Cataract Park cache. It's travelled from Canada. Would probably be a good little article for the Jamboree Paper?

Pity can't see you all there personally.

You wouldn't happen to be a Facebooking Cacher from Troop #106. Would you?

I am glad that everyone enjoyed the hides. I just received a lot of find logs, with some positive comments.

Thanks everyone!

TaylorBrats - My son, who I think you met, is CachedScout and was in 106. He was pleased to meet you, and has come back from Jamboree with a renewed interest in caching.

Sam

Sorry to bump this topic up but I was just wondering if anyone knows who will be in charge of the radio station on site...Registration has opened for the 2013 Jamboree and being a radio announcer myself and interested in attending the jamboree, I was just wanting to get in contact with whoever will be in charge of the station.

Thanks,
Camstal

info@aj2013.scouts.com.au might be able to send you in the right direction.

Oooh...2013 is coming up.

I'm still tossing up whether i should go to AJ, or save up (a whole lot more...) for world moot that year. (i really wish i could afford both, but i think my bank account would kill me)

Camstal - check your pm

Bronnie - go to the moot - you can always go to a jamboree later, but there's only so many chances to go to a world moot while you're a rover.

Mrs Bundy already has plans on attending AJ2013, and I think our daughter Vampirate is also thinking about it. And seeing as how its so close to home, and Fraser Island, if there is any 4wding tours planned, I might try to make it as well as a helper.

Our Troop has been given our number and campsite allocation for AJ2013. We are Highlands Troop 19 (H19). We are camped approximately at S 25° 30.435 E 152° 39.375 (approximation from viewing the map last night).

Hoojar

Then you will be across the road from Mrs Bundy. She is working in Welfare at Billabong, which is the other side of the rear main access track from Highlands. Billabong leaders will be eating at Highlands resturant on a daily basis.

Unfortunately, I wont be attending the Jamboree itself, but I am fairly certain I willl be down there in the days beforehand, helping set up the Billabong HQ. We have already been down there a couple of times for a decent recce. S25 30.232 E 152 39.571. is where the Billabong HQ will be located. The square on Google Earth at that location will be the billabong. In reality, it is a 19 metre square horse water jump. We just have to do it up a bit with a few- read a lot- of accessories to set the scene. I have a heap of preparation work and building to do over the next few months.

Wow you guys have way more info than we do but then we have a Troop leader meeting this weekend so I'm hoping something will filter through to the rest of us after that.
