Are Nanos real caches?

For all your general chit chat, caching or not.

“Are Nanos real caches?”.

I hate Nanos. They are the spawn of Satan. Burn down the nano factory and put to death anyone who sells nanos.

Someone exterminate these people.
What's worse is that all of the caches available for sale on that site, are small or nano's.
Ban the whole site

I really don't like nanos, but a few cachers seem to like looking for them so the obvious answer for me is to ignore them and leave them for those who enjoy that sort of thing. Me I have never even tried to look for a nano and precious few micros, but "Live and let live".
If you like them go for it, if you don't ignore them.

Probably more of a cache than a virtual.
But like you said, If you don't like 'em, just ignore them.

GC doesn't allow you to ignore nanos as they are listed as micros.
So sometimes you don't know you hate it until you find it.

GCA allows you to filter out nanos as we have them as a cache size.
So if you hate it, filter it out and there goes your angst.

Doesn't matter. Micros should be banned as well

If you want to experience some really well done micros - and we arent talking needle-in-a-haystack type hides - head to Wagga and go after some Fred6603 caches. Truly outstanding. I could also point you to some examples in Canberra.

The reason I dislike nano caches is twofold. The main one is the issue I have with getting the log out, getting my name on it legibly, and getting it back in. Very difficult usually with my less than nimble fingers, especially as many of the logs are disintegrating after short life spans.

The other reason is that its quite common for the hider to put it in a needle-in-a-haystack type scenario. I dont find this very clever - but before anyone opens fire, I accept that this is a perfectly legitimate hide. Indeed, I did a Tankengine micro recently that appeared to be a needle-in-haystack scenario, but had a twist. I just dont find it to be an enjoyable experience in general.

For these reasons, I would much prefer that hiders made it clear in the description if a cache is a nano. This better enables the seeker to make an informed decision about whether they want to go after it.

Okay, so here's a question. Given the physical issues with signing the log, in the case of nano caches is it acceptable to claim a find, perhaps by taking a photo of youself at GX with the cache and GPS, instead of signing the log?

Wheelchair cachers are probably screaming out "Yes" for every cache (and fair enough too), but what about the rest?

In fact, I think that's a good enough questions to run a poll...

Not acceptable on GC in any way shape or form now they have stopped Additional Logging Requirements.

It's fine in theory for GCA. It's all down to if the owner finds that acceptable.
