I'm not sure but around 5.
Our first ever find was a ftf in outback South Australia. Didn't understand the excitement about it then but now will go out for a local ftf.

Got my first a couple of weeks ago but it doesn't show up in my stats. It was a GC cache. Is there anything else you have to do?

63 FTF for me

Click on the cache link you want to mark as being FTF
Click "First to Find" under action on the right side column.
In future you can automate this by putting *FTF* in your log when you log a GC cache.

Thanks, Damo. Fixed it (after much back and forth logging in and out and deleting the cookie and getting a new password even though I was logged in already!)Damo. wrote:Look through your finds http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/Yurt/findsYurt wrote:Got my first a couple of weeks ago but it doesn't show up in my stats. The cache I got as my FTF was listed as Archived but it's not listed as such on GC. Some bug in the system as one of my caches is listed as Archived on GCA as well.

999 just one more to crack the 1000.
Re: How many FTF finds have you had?
33 GC plus 1 GCA. I get a real buzz out of FTFs so numbers matter in this respect, otherwise no. Recently travelled to the Pilliga Scrub with the primary purpose of a FTF. Return trip was 2700 Ks. Might as well considering the price of diesel & costs naught to camp in a NP or SF.
Re: How many FTF finds have you had?
I've had no FTFs and I can see why with all you guys having hundreds each
I think those more experienced cachers ought to act like ladies and gentlemen and stand back so some of us newer cachers are able to get our information together and work out where to go and arrange to get there somehow and get the gps working and then find the right direction and then walk around until we get to GZ and then.......etc etc until finally we discover the cache in a pristine condition and unopened by any others.
Now that WOULD be nice
