GC down! What did you do?
GC down! What did you do?
Well we know what some people did while GC was down (glued to Jeremy's twitter account waiting for a blow by blow update! ) Some appeared to have withdrawal symptoms and were lost because they didn't have current PQs or GSAK to get the required coordinates for the day's caching.
We were frustrated by knowing there were two FTFs waiting for us tantalisingly close to home - if only they had been published 30mins earlier it would have been a different story
While we were waiting for gc to come back on-line, Mr Just a Trifle decided to build a new trailer for the tinny so we can safely get to some of those water-bound caches nearby

and Mrs Just a Trifle did some chores which she never seems to get around to and checked out her new geocoins which had been at the PO Box.

So, what did you get up to (couldn't find a nudge nudge emoticon)

Went geocaching.
We had all the PQ's downloaded to GSAK already from our bi-weekly update.
All the logs got stored in GSAK waiting to be uploaded as field notes.
After the days caching we spent a leisurely evening with a couple of teams at a local restaurant, followed by a comfortable evening at home with a few bottles of fine red, white and muscat.
Just 'coz the servers were down, we saw no reason to stop doing what we love!!

Yes, I'll admit it...I was glued to TwitterFox waiting for Jeremy to tweet about an update about Fisher Plaza or GC.com.andiamo wrote:Well we know what some people did while GC was down (glued to Jeremy's twitter account waiting for a blow by blow update!)
It was one of the most boring days of my life!!
Thanks,

We went caching, but at that stage we didn't even know that GC was down, so for us there wasn't any difference.
We run GSAK and already had the Oregon loaded with all of Adelaide's caches, so for us, if it would have been down for longer it wouldn't have really been an issue. There aren't many GCA caches here though, so the option of doing them isn't really there.
