The Hidden Park
Went out today and did a new type of GPS adventure that uses the iphone.
Its very much like a where I go cache type of adventure but is aimed at kids. Its an amazing game and the kids get to see animations of fairies and dragons etc.
Here's some of the pictures we got while playing the game.
We found some mimi's in the tree.
The fairies were hiding near the rocks.
Matilda had some fairies come visit.
Watch out for the dragon Gracie.
And everyone says well done and gives Grace a medal for being a good girl and going all the way around the park.
The game is made by a Melbourne guy. His website talks a little about geocaching so he may even be a cacher????

When I can work out the best way to upload a few pics, especially one of Team Crackers I will post it. The application is a variation of Wherigo but is a lot more user friendly and animated.
It was great walking around the Botanical Gardens collecting photos and information. If this program takes off the way the developer hopes it will we could see many Hidden Park caches in the future.

But lists the only 2 places to be involved in Australia as the Botanical Gardens in both Sydney and Melbourne.

Re: The Hidden Park
Dredging up an old topic because I finally downloaded this app after noticing it now contains a builder, so you can create your own parks.
Tried it out at lunchtime today, and the builder is very easy and straightforward to use (unlike the wherigo builder!).
Did a simple park in Victoria Square in the city and got it all completed, but for now I'm a bit stuck. I can "share with friends", which seems to select people from my contacts list, or "share with the world" ie - submit to the website for consideration, which I don't want to do with just a test park.
Unfortunately I can't get to the point of trying out my own park. The app has "official parks", "friend's parks" and "my parks" however even though my Victoria Square park shows up as completed in the builder, it doesn't show up in "my parks".
Still, it's a step forward and I thought people might like to know that in theory, at least - you can create your own parks.
