I wouldn't see lack of a car as a huge hurdle. Wagga is well served by public transport, apart from flying you can get the train or coach from Melbourne. And I am sure people will be willing to organise pickups from the train or bus station if you let them know your intentions.

I am planning on going down a few days early to sort internet access at the site (though that is in very early days of planning as yet). And will be happy to volunteer to do some pickups if needed, but will leave it to the Wagga organisers to coordinate things. And I am sure you won't have any trouble getting a lift for anything over the weekend from other cachers like me who will be solo (and therefore have 3-4 spare seats in the car).

Well I was sure that I'd posted our intention to attend - but I can't find it tonight.
So for the record, all of Team Ermalesh will be attending - that is 2A and 3K and we will be staying at one of the local caravan parks (already booked).
What a weekend this is likely to be!!

The Riverina Geocaching Committee thanks you for your patience and many questions.

The Oz Mega Wagga Wagga should be ready for release on the Geocaching.com site in the first 2 weeks of September. We will inform all keen nominees within the Geocaching Australia forums on which date the release will be.

The first stage will contain much information about the exciting event. This first stage will request all team entries to post a "will attend".

The Registration will follow in the near future after the first stage.

All information about food, merchandise, camping fees, will be available at the second stage of Registration.

The committee will release some surprises at the first stage. Some highlights will feature on the registration stage and many surprises will only be revealed at the actual event. :D

At this stage,no team or individual has booked or paid for anything within the camp or can do at the first stage of release either. The first stage will only be for posts of "will attend" . All bookings or entry to any item will be within the second stage.

The Riverina Geocaching Committee is working very hard full time on a project of enormous proportions and everything is going very well at the Wagga Wagga end.We know many teams have made bookings already to stay in Wagga accomodation before and after the event and please continue to do so to this much anticipated event.

Thankfully,
Greg.
President Riverina Geocaching Committee
Oz Mega Wagga Wagga.

The Riverina Geocaching Committee is within a few weeks of posting the much anticipated Oz Mega Wagga Wagga on Geocaching.com.
We will inform all Geocaching members on which night it will be and "The ump" has agreed to assist us with an exact time we nominate.
Caughtatwork will assist with all postings on Geocaching Australia hopefully as the first event to be listed at the top of every state at once for all to see. :D

The 4 day Easter weekend for 2010 also has the Classic Car Rally booked in for 4 days within Wagga Wagga with 300 car entrants from around Australia and about 700 people.

What this means is: if you are intending on being at Oz Mega Wagga Wagga and If you are one of the teams not planning on staying within the Kurrajong Camp Reserve on the 4 days of Easter, now is the time to book your appropriate accommodation within Wagga Wagga whether it be Caravan Park, Motel, B&B, Hotel, etc.

If you are making a holiday of the event, staying a week or two either side of the event, not so urgent, but it would be advisable to book your accommodation shortly as well. The School Holiday dates for each state are here:
http://www.australia.gov.au/topics/aust ... term-dates :D

The best link for all types of Accommodation and Riverina Tourism is here:

President Riverina Geocaching Committee.

Is the camp ground going to be big enough for all that have expressed interest in staying there or should we make alternative arrangements? We are definately coming over from WA with our van - counting down the days!! :D
