No problem Greg - you guys have taken on a massive undertaking - we await the listing, before making our international travel bookings to be there.

Hi Guys,

After seriously looking at this event over the past couple of weeks, YES we will be attending from Brisbane. There will be confirmed total of 4 (1A + 3C) plus a possible 5th (1A).

Will be looking at accommodation next week. Can someone recommend motel/apartment or similar near the area of the campgrounds? Email or PM, thanks.

Regards,
~ Mortified :D Brisbane

The best information for motel accomodation can be found at .... http://www.waggawaggaaustralia.com.au/ :D

This will give you a list of everything and you can judge your personal style of accommodation depending on facilities, star ratings and prices. It's best you select your personal choice. The Wagga Tourism Information Centre can assist but it's against etiquette for them to nominate a personal favourite for obvious reasons. :D Wagga Tourism is a sponsor of Oz Mega Wagga Wagga and all the staff are aware of the event and will assist in any tourism enquiries you may have. =D>

The Wagga Wagga Classic Car Event is staged for the same 4 days and are booking accommodation accordingly, so it's best for all concerned to make a booking if you are not intending staying at the "Kurrajong Camp" over Easter or staying longer and need accommodation either side of the event.

The Riverina Geocaching Committee is getting very close to the posting of the event on Geocaching.com. We will announce the release day here and give all at least a few days notice of the big day. We are 98% ready and just tidying up the final few components. :D :D

Holidays booked, the bike trailer is getting a makeover. After the success of our 4 week caching trip on the bike earlier this year, this event should be a piece of cake. Camping onsite, just the 2 of us.

Cheers

Probably will be listed & PUBLISHED this weekend .........

That is, if that mischievous reviewer is on his toes ......

Otherwise, not long after that.

Ladies and gentlemen, start logging your "Will Attend" notes, the event is now listed and awaiting your input!
Cachepage

It's not listed as a mega-event, but Groundspeak have the ability to change the type once it becomes clear that it's going to (or has) met the requirements.
Given the response here, I think that's likely to happen sooner rather than later.

There's obviously been a lot of work already gone into this, and I congratulate Riverina Geocaching for taking up the challenge! =D>

That is, if that mischievous reviewer is on his toes ......
I sent a bogus email that looked as if I'd jumped the gun and published this a few weeks ago, just to see if their adrenalin glands were working and to give them an early taste of the stress that's heading their way over the next several months!

(Edit to add listing link)
