Well.... it's not quite at 400 yet, but as we have over 150 teams & almost 375 people - that is 75% of the minimum target,
so it shouldn't be too long before we get to 400. :D

Besides, with over 500 at a Mega Event, there will obviously be a lot more socialising than the serious competition you are thinking about. :o

The committee still have many decisions to make regarding the logistics of such a large gathering.

Code1 crew are keen to attend with 2 adults and 2 kids and a camper trailer at the site.

I think some socialising with a bit of caching on the side will be the order of the weekend.

Seriously, there are enough caches in the Wagga area I would be tempted to take an extra week off either before or after the event to go caching after socialising.

Mr Coffee, 2 toilet blocks, 1700 campers, you will be able to pick them off like ducks in a row. Could be a social event

On a serious note I think the Wagga Wagga committee has a big task ahead of them and I know they will do it well. This is Australia's chance to showcase geocaching via the Mega Event to the world.
I think it will be an awesome get together and we should offer ideas, suggestions, games and coffee recipe's to the committee in a bid to help.
Roll on Wagga Wagga Mega Mega Geocaching Event 2010.
The hard bit is when people arrive, getting them organised, giving out info etc. The more you can give out before hand, especially maps of the site will help alot (so people will know ehre to go).

When I have been to large conferences they also have a daily newsletter which keeps everyone up to date. If there is mobile recpetion perhaps something paperless like SMS. I am sure there wont be any shortage of handheld devices. :D

And of course what you really need is volunteers. Happy to help out. :D

The only time Mr Coffee will see the toilet blocks is cleaning duties we have him rostered for: 3 am daily toilet cleaning (with a worn toothbrush).

Day before the big event : mowing duties.....15 acres with a hand mower.
Where he can dream about his "ozone" cache success.

We have hired security to oversee his night guard duties. We located them from a laneway area in Richmond (Laneway lunacy).Bubba now takes orders from a bigger guy called "LEROY"! He only had two question when we told him Mr Coffee will be there.
" Does the Murrumbidgee River have murky waters and can the fast flow move concrete blocks ? "

Damm given away my plan to hide a cache near the toilet block. 3am toilet cleaning?, I thought I was on guard duty then, boy talk about having to multi task. As I have got rid of any lawn in the front yard now can I borrow your lawn mower?, and oh yes as long as Bubba is not in control of the shower block I will be OK. , and the Emotion is not an impression in anyway of my facial expression.

Speaking of Bubba and Leroy I have just had a great idea for a Puzzle cache at the event, which really has nothing to do with Bubba or Leroy  , but the emotion scared me and I had to think of something else and a great Puzzle cache came to mind.

Looks like a great event. I should be able to make it - I'll bring both swag and bow.
