Walking caches in Melbourne

Post by Crisp image » 11 June 08 7:36 pm

My wife and I want to plan a walking cache trip in Melbourne. We have cleaned out the CBD, Albert park, most of Yarra bend park and Police paddoks. The idea is we transport to a location then spend the day walking around doing caches. We dont mind covering a bit of area but would like a loop of some sort to eliminate track back.
Looking forward to your sugestions
Regards

Sounds like you need to head for Muzzafield National Park :P

dak's Business Traveller (BT) series - walk and tram/train. He gives explicit instructions how to get to each via public transport,
Williamstown - lots in a small area,
Warburton - our nemisis! (just don't do the ones that take 2 hr slogging up and down a mountain)

I'm not sure how you'd go with the loop thing but a star may be more in order.
If you like quality of location not just quantity give it a go.
