If you remember FTF and RDMH, there is another on the way
Just in case you were itching for another organised caching game, just to let you know that Cached, Facitman and I are continuing to refine a game for 2008 in the same vein as FTF and RDMh.
FTF:

RDMH:

It's not The Well Rounded Cacher. That's a different game altogether.
Fear not people, the new game will run August, Sepetember 2008. Just in time for the weather to start warming up and for your winter caching blues to disappear into the fog.
We hope to get the information out by the end of this month depending on how fast I can program.

A small bit of background information.willhumpa wrote:errrrr WTF is RDMH?????
In 2006 Cached, ADAcache and I ran the first national geocaching game called Fleet to Federation. In that game you have a number of requirements or challenges to complete over a two month time period. All of the challenges / requirements were based on a theme of "fleet to federation". The winners, those who met the requirements and accumulated the most points, won a 2006 Australia Geocoin. Very much sought after both and still now.
In 2007 Cached, Facitman and I ran the geocaching game along similar lines but with a different theme. The theme of 2007 was "river deep to mountain high" and the themed requirements were all about getting out in our glorious country and enjoying the environment from river deep to mountain high. There were more entrants than the first year and more countries became involved too. The prizes were 2007 Australian Geocoins.
In 2008 Cached, Facitman and I will be running another geocaching game. The theme is yet to be made public, but the requirements are well on their way to being finalised. There will be prizes again this year, 2008 Australian Geocoins (and maybe a boomerang or two). This years game will have a slightly different points calculation which in general should allow you to tailor the challenges you attempt towards your own physical capabilities.
We expect the game to run August / September as we move towards warmer weather down under (unfortunately this means colder weather for the northern countries).
There is NO entry fee, all prizes have been generously donated, the game is run by Australians and the site is owned by me (an Aussie to obviously).
Keep your eye on the forums and http://www.cachinggames.com for more information. It should be a fun game.
